Sire: KELOWNA's SUNDANCE KID. Black, Brown, Fawn, White – an astounding range of solid, dark coloured crias from this light fawn Champion, full Peruvian son of JOLIMONT PERUVIAN ALPAMAYO. SUNDANCE has sired offspring in a wide range of colours, including black, brown, fawn, beige and white. Couple that with his legacy of producing champions in the show ring, and you can see that MINNEDOSA has been sired by one of Canada’s top machos. SUNDANCEs fleece won the Supreme Championship Banner, two years in a row when he was a senior, breeding male, winning over all entries of juvenile, yearling and senior fleeces. His fleece exhibits extreme density with bright sheen; it has that high frequency (an incredible 11 crimps per inch) lock structured fleece that everyone dies for. SUNDANCE has maintained incredible the fleece stats of 23.9 / 3.9 / 15.2 at seven years of age.
Dam: STAR BAR. This dark fawn half-Peruvian PISTACHIO daughter is a granddaughter of the renowned PPERUVIAN EL MOUSTACHIO. STAR consistently produces crias who bring home the ribbons, including the first place Juvenile White Female at the 2005 Futurity. We purchased STAR and her sisters from Bayes Alpaca Ranch.
Comments: There's outstanding density and fineness on this stylish 3/4 Peruvian female. We love MINNEDOSA’s uniform colour, her correct conformation, and her large expressive eyes in her impish face. She’s an extremely playful alpaca – forever pronking through the pastures, or chasing the cats. She comes from a long line of excellent mothers who are easily bred, with uncomplicated births and ample milk production. MINNEDOSA is a well grown girl, and shows signs of early maturity. She is not currently for sale, as we’d like to keep her as a production female, in order to retain those great “SUNDANCE KID” genetics in our herd.
Service Sire: MINNEDOSA was recently mated to TELL VIVACE for an August ’08 cria. VIVACE’s incredible black fleece exhibits deep bold crimp, well-defined lock structure, and distinctive corkscrew curls. VIVACE won the Colored Huacaya Fleece Championship at the 2002 CABA National Fleece Show .
